GHG Corporation’s electronic Employee Management Suite (eEMS) takes one’s entire human resources and payroll departments online.

The eEMS system is comprised of four modules for timesheet management, payroll. human resources and recruiting. While all four modules are design to work together, one can pick and choose based on their needs.

Having more than just the time sheet online is interesting: it centralizes everything to do with the employees, so that everyone can access the information, according to their access rights.

Moreover, eEMS has made the system so organizations don’t have to try to fit their processes into the system. eEMS adapts to any organization’s processes. For example, the scheduling feature permits not only to configure shifts, but also to assign a special schedule to someone, for example for someone who would work half-days.

On the employee side, it was interesting to be able to see more than just the time sheets. With eEMS, employees can see their schedules, fill out time sheets, see their pay stubs, and request leave or vacation time.

On the management side, eEMS makes it easy to configure the system, and even add new schedules or pay rates on the fly.  Moreover, since GHG Corporation is a QuickBooks Gold Developer, moving data between eEMS and Quickbooks is a given.

We also liked the recruiting module for eEMS. Instead of receiving and entering hundreds of resumes in the database yourself, with eEMS, employers let the candidates input their information in the system themselves. From there, human resources can do searches in the candidate bank and match candidate and position quickly and easily.

A web-based system like eEMS is especially useful for distributed teams. If your employees spend a lot of time on the road, with eEMS, there is no reason for them not to fill out their time sheets – they can even do it from home.

Being web-based, eEMS will send email reminders and notifications to your employees and managers, to make sure no one forgets to perform their HR-related obligations.

In the end, eEMS creates a seamless system, from candidates applying for a position, to employees filling out their time sheets, managers approving them and payroll processing payment.
